new turbo kit from maximumboost.net
Friday, March 31, 2006 10:06 PM
I recently bought a turbo kit for my 2002 cavalier from Frank McKeever at maximumboost.net. I am in the middle of installing it, and it is going really good. I had to do a few modifications, but thats what makes it more interesting. I would highly reccomend purchasing a kit from Frank. He is very knowledgeable, and answers questions very promptly. I have nothing but good thing to say about this kit, and the person who sold it to me.

Same thing I'm thinking...

I seriously don't see how someone can say:

1. Frank is knowledgable
2. Very small problems

Heck, he doesn't even do an R & D for the intercooler piping, so unless he got a "non-intercooled kit", I think it's BS.

legitimate (adj.) Being in accordance with established or accepted patterns and standards: legitimate advertising practices.

No, I'd have to disagree.

knowlegeable? isn't frank the one that said you don't need any fuel mods for 4-5 psi? this is definitely some kind of last ditch effort to try and find a few more suckers to buy his "kits."

Hey, I am not BSing about this kit. I really did get it from Frank, and I am not Frank. I am doing an intercooler, and its done allready, and all I had to do is get some extra piping, and it worked fine. I can't speak for the rest of you about your dealings with Frank, but my experience was very good.

Word to the Wise:

If you buy a turbo kit that is MADE for your application, you shouldn't have to buy extra parts like more piping.

The reason people are getting on you is because you failed to search and find out his history and the "downlow" on his products. If you had searched you would have seen that you DON'T have a Garrett turbo like he says, the intercooler piping wasn't made for your vehicle (it's "universal"), and all the parts you got from him could have been bought off ebay like he did. Nothing was developed specifically for your car, you basically spent extra money on parts and you paid a middle man to go on ebay and get cheap parts for you.

So on behalf of the org...

Congratulations on wasting money

Please don't make yourself seem like Mr Innocent...you are a middle man to idiots who actually buy your kits and who aren't smart enough to research and find out how you make your kits. Any moron can go on ebay and buy exactly what you buy, you just thought of it first and slapped on a title saying "It's for your motor" when it's total BS.

Do you even do any R & D in your turbo kits? Highly doubt it. Looking at your kit, everything looks like the same old "universal" piping and the worse turbocharger you could buy. By you selling those XS Power crap turbos, that shows you absolutely don't care about your customers and their motors.

And yes, you should not be selling turbo kits if you honestly think that you don't need any fuel modifications untill you pass 5 PSI. I hope someone buys your kit, blows their motor cause they listened to you, sues you and puts you out of business.
