Those using an AEM eugo wideband?
Thursday, March 16, 2006 9:34 PM
I was just wondering for those of you who use the AEM uego wide band. What setting does it need to be on, P1,P2,P3 or P4, im not quite sure which one to be on... Also, when the gauge is reading a/f numbers, is it suppose to be on a single number or does it bounce around alitte.

When mine is on, it tends to bounce around alittle. Like when im driving it bounces between 14.2 and 15. Then under boost, it bounces around from 11-12.7, around those numbers. Its nothing like a narrow band, but is this normal for it to do that?

Yes, thats normal.

The P numbers are if you are using the output to simulate a narrowband. Unfortunately none of the settings work for our cars. Our cars use a 0-1.250v Nerst Cell narrowband sensor, the AEM can only emulate a 0-1v, so you end up getting high voltage signals (because of the different curve of the 0-1v versus the 0-1.250v).

just wondering because i have the AEM UEGO on its way ....does the 0-1V instead of the 0-1.25v affect anything else. and where would you be trying to simulate the narrow band???

LIke "shifted" said, the P settings doesn't work for our cars. I have tried all the settins and my gauge does the same thing. But while driving i am seeing the right a/f ratios, so its working...

There is a White and Blue wire on the gauge also. There are for serial and analog output. but im not sure how those work...

Anyone?

Uhh, one you can hook to a computer for data logging, the other can simulate the narrowband O2 on some vehicles so that there is no need for both a wideband and a narrowband.

Will this guage work with MegaSquirt?

I'm watching this because I'm looking at getting the product myself.

Liquidplasma-

You won't use the serial output or the narrowband output if you don't want to. You would simulate the narrowband if you didn't want to have 2 O2 sensors (one narrowband to feed the ECU, and one wideband), but the narrowband simulation that the UEGO uses does not give the right signal for our ECU's, so we can't use it.

Adikted-

Yes, I believe it does. You just set the narrowband simulation for a linear 0-5v and use that as the input for the megasquirt.

Is there a wideband gauge out there that has the narrowband simulation that will work on our cars???

So does that mean we set megasquirt to read narrowband sensor, or is the "linear 0-5v" a wideband ouput?

One night it worked the next day it didn't. A friend tested it for me and the gauge is getting proper ground and power, but the gauge doesn't light up,

Anyone please... While under boost my AEM gauge goes down to around 13 then when i let off the gas it goes down to 11-12's is that how its suppose to work. Yester day it was going down into the 12's under boost. Or maybe im just missing it go down to the 11-12's while im keeping my eyes on the road... Can anyone tell me how theres was reading?

sorry to jack...

so there is no Wideband out there that doesn't require a second bung to be put in your exhaust???

...sorry if I'm misunderstanding this, looking into a wideband for the s/c...

a little off topic, but will either the serial or the analog output work with emanage?
