ok the turbo kit came with a hard water line to replace the one that is in the car to make room for the tubular manifold.
the goldish metal line ( i assume ) is the hard water line . but i can' figure how the new one goes on . its probly really simple and i'm just looking over somethin . any help is greatly appreciated.
and there is a picture of the new hard water line.( the black tube that shaped like an L ) .. but on the car the stock one goes all the way around the motor.
Nice setup!
But I wouldn't know how to hook up the water line. Give J tuners a call and see what they say.
Lol you know i couldnt figure it out either! I just cut it up and used it to re-do the whole line, half soft half hard, its a bitch near the coil packs because the hard line was welded to another hard water line, so i had to re-do 2 lines total; just pick up some soft line at an autoparts store for a couple bucks, get some clamps and your good.
lol ok sounds like thats what i'm gonna have to do . thanks
Take off the rubber hose coming out of the thremostat housing, then install the hard pipe with a short section of heater hose. Cut the STOCK hard line coming from under the coilpacks(heater hose), until the hard line supplied with ur kit fits. Then connect the two with another small section of hose. I would recommend RTV and good hose clamps, that sh!t likes to leak! This is how I did mine, no since in cutting up a perfectly good solid line like that. And I think it bolts up to the turbine housing with the bracket attached on the pipe. Hope this makes since.
Failure is not failure if you learn from it
the arm with the hole bolts to the turbo , 1 end uses a short hose to connecto to the tstat connection and the other end will follow around by the cooling fan then point back towards the hose as it goes straight back
pretty much the same way you have it in the pic , is how it gets laid out in the car
ok cool thanks for all the help guys . i appreciate everything .
