O.K. right now I have the Unorthodox Racing Pulley on,but I was wondering if I should put my stock one back on or can I use another pulley like the RSM stock sized lightened pulley or the AEM slightly over-sized Tru power pulley?I don't think I should be using my unorthodox under-drive pulley (right)? So are these other pulley's any good to use?

chuck that UR pulley in the trash if your gonna run a gm s/c
youd be lucky to see boost with it , and using a 1.5" pulley on the s/c , LOL
like speed said stock size or larger
exactly thats why I was asking about the other pulley's like the AEM oversized but lightened pulley,or the rsm stock sized lightened pulley,I'm not an idiot I know it would be pointless to under drive the supercharger and I've already sold the unorthodox pulley to trigger(another org. member).but I need to put a pulley back on and I was wondering if I should use the stock pulley (heavy sucker) or a light one of the same size or an oversized one?

sorry I also want to know if lightened one will effect boost level's?
Friends Don't Let Friends Drive Stock!!!!!
lighter pullies will help it rev a bit quicker
but wont change the boost level
unless you get a crank pulley made that is larger , than stock
then the boost will go up
changing the alt pulley size will not effect the s/c , other than from the belt either being tighter or looser
AEM claims there lightened pulley is slightly larger but alot lighter then stock so this will help it rev faster but won't effect boost?

isn't there a point to where even with akly injection, spinning the M45 to fast is bad??
no one makes a larger crank pulley
aem only offers a alt pulley , and it will only effect the alt speed
the crank pulley is the drive pulley , and will effect all items driven from it
the s/c , alt , a/c , power steering(on the 2.2ohv) , are driven items and will not effect each other speed wise
lighter pullies will effect the speed at which the motor will rev up
diameter of the pullies is what effects its over all speed
ok thanks

no problem
i hope that all wasnt to confusing , lol
so what are our brand choices for a lighter stock size pulley then?? AEM, Unorthodox, RSM, etc etc etc??
rsm is the only 1 that offers a stock sized pulley for the crank
i know there is about 10 made from some company in canada , that are stock size
ive got 1 , and i think jake has or had 1
if you could find 1 it would be better than rsm's from what i can tell
mine has a piece that looks to be stainless or steele that was pressed on to the end where the seal rides
the rsm pulley my friend was using was just aluminum on the end , and the seal wore a grove into the snout
And for the record, I'd avoid RSM like the plague!
yes RSM is definately my last choice for buying anything. they lie somewhere near Mantapart on my supply list.
LOL purplezed,Yeah I know RSM'S rep. about there's a custom car & truck show in Toronto this week and RSM is suppose to have a both there and if they have one and I can buy it then and there I will but I definitely don't want to do anything with shipping.97cavie do you recall if that company happened to be induction Dynamics out of winniping Manitoba? and you were right after speaking with Debra from AEM for about 20 minutes this afternoon I found out you were right AEM doesn't make a crank pulley for our application currently,,,they only make alternator pulley's I was mistaken. But the good news is I have two stock pulleys lying around I offered to send Debra one of these pulley's as a template for a stock size lightened pulley and they took me up on my offer but said there were no promise's they would look at it.
Friends Don't Let Friends Drive Stock!!!!!
no it wasnt induction dynamics
ill have to email a friend at aem and talk to him , i need to email him any way about intakes
i know the eco's could use a good stock size light weight pulley too , and same with the 2.0 s/c people
