alright, so a buddy of mine was tellin me that he has a stage 2 supercharger kit that he recently took off his ex girlfriends 95 cav 2.4l that he was wanting to sell to me...so my first question is (probably a stupid one) but this would work on my 2000 2.4 right? cuz there the same motor. he told me that i would probably need to get stronger axels with the added power. i have been researching turbos for a while so s/c are kinda new to me which is why i ask. and so no one tells me to do research n find out, i will, i just wanted to ask this first

it will work but he doesn't have a 95 if he has a 2.4. also axel's won't be needed. the Stage 2 kit doesn't put out THAT much power to warrant axels. clutch yes.

well if he's talking stages then it must be the RSM S/C. goto www.rsmracing.com and it will give you all the specs. now that i know you have an auto, there is something about the stage 2 that won't work for an auto. can't quite remember what it is.

What kind of charger is it and where did he purchase it? Like purplezed stated, it is most likely RSM's s/c kit since they're the only company with 'stages'. If it is the RSM kit with centrifugal s/c then the main difference between auto and manual trannies would be mounting hardware. I know on the Ecotec motors and auto/manual trannies the mounting brackets are completely different so the 2.4 brackets are most likely different as well.

Blown.

The stage kit offers a Vortech V1 SC instead of a V9. The V1 is physically larger than the V9 and won't fit on the auto tranny.
