I am almost done installing my Hahn Stage 2! Ran into a couple snags though. First, the two allen head bolts on the head are stripped!?!?! Barely even got on them. The one is for oil feed and the other my oil pressure gauge. Anyone have any suggestions?? There is no outer hex on the head and they are in a tight spot. I plan to purchase some screw extractors, but I don't know if they will work for Allen (what's left of them anyway).
Second problem. For the life of me I can not get the O2 sensors out of the exhaust stuff. I have both the cat and the manifold off the car. I have an 02 sensor socket, a propane torch and PB blast. No go. Any suggestions on that?
After 5 days of install these pesky bolts and 02 sensors are my major hurdles!!! I can't wait to turn it on! Thanks to all.

Go buy a new o2 sensor.
I was a retard, and now I'm permanently banned.
Anyone else? I am really worried about the two bolts in the head. I am totally screwed without getting them out. I bought screw extractors and they didn't work either. Anyone else have problems getting them out???

chisel a notch in the bolt head and try to get it out that way, by using the notch, or grind the sides flat so they fit in a 6pt socket perfectly, then turn em out
what size allen key did you use? I bet you used the wrong one
I made that mistake at first but caught myself in time. I think its a 6mm allen and the boogers are tight in there. if you get them out and need some spares let me know...I have a few laying around.

its ok man you dont have to use those 2
there are 3 more on the front under the intake manifold......thats where alot of people used them.

Well I wanted to use those since that is what the line for my oil feed is sized to use. And yeah i did use a 6mm allen, but they were torqued so tight that they just went. Now I'm pissed. I will try those screw removers again tomorrow.

If you couldn't get them out with the right sized allen you had some crummy allens. I have a nice set of Craftsmans and a set of crummy Autozone ones. The Autozone ones or only used in a pinch. Always use quality tools!
I'll see if I can come up with an easy way to get them out but extractors will probably be the easiest way.

I think you're right Ryne. The allen sockets I used are probably the cheapest tools I own. Never actually used them before now. I do not feel comfortable drilling through the bolts due to the nature of the loaction and the importance of not ruining the threads. Anyone know any technicians that make house calls???
For the 02, they are available at just about any parts store now. I had heard they weren't, but everyone in town had them. Much much cheaper than from Chevy. About $70 if anyone cares. Any other suggestions for bolt removal would be welcome. Thanks guys.

you can drill through the plugs easily. There is nothing on the other side for a little ways. Of course to get a drill in there you'd probably have to remove the head which takes some time.
