i know the gm s/c is made for the 2000 2.4 tc and up but what all would i need to install it on a 96-99 2.4 TC??? i been thinking just s/c and get a 2.5 or 2.6" pully i like the sound of the s/c over the turbo yeah i know its not about the sound i just want alittle more power out of my 2.4
and on top of that can i use it since my car is auto? i been reading and it says only for manuals
having a 99 your in a good position to S/C it. there are 3 or 4 other recent posts about this subject so i'll answer before the SEARCH flaming starts. i have a 99 auto 2.4 Cavy and it's S/Ced and alot of fun. your in good shape with a 9 because you have no EGR, the proper starter, and an ECM that can apparently be re-flashed for the S/C. the later i can't verify but a GM dealer could. you may have to phone a couple to get the right answer though. mine was swapped over to all 00+ wiring, ECM, BCM etc so was a simple bolt on procedure. yours should be too. if you have any more Q's, feel free to message me.
