So let the games begin, JK I took the old motor apart and there were traces of sometimes severe detonation, but it is the part of the game.
So I wouldn't suggest anyone run 17 psi on stock motor if you value your motor.
The way it was it would probably lasted another 3000 anyways.
I got this motor in right now and by tonight IT WILL BE BROKEN IN!! 100 miles tops.
So I hope noone gets mad at me for doing this, but it kinda sucks when every time you hit gas you quinch your eyes waiting for
BOOOOOOOOOM!!!!!
If anyone asks it is still a L61, not LSJ yet.
Valve train will be one of my big hold ups for now.

How the hell do u get it to idle with 580cc injectors and an fmu??? I saw u have a SAFC, but the lowest setting on those things is 1000 rpms, and our cars idle lower than that, so its kinda hard to pull fuel for idle with those things!!
It might be time to go with something for ignition control if you don't already have it man... If there's evidence of detonation, you're still not safe with forged pistons and rods... detonation and high egt's will kill a forged motor too, it'll just take longer than stock cast parts. Do you have any kind of datalogger?

They are not upgrades tho. What is the spring load on either one of those valve springs in pounds??
