Does anyone know what turbo the volvo 740's came with? And also what is the wastegate set at? THANKS
Think they all wore Mitsu turbo's and that specific model (740) used the TD05/12B.
And I believe the turbo's were set somewhere around 8-9psi because they had an upgrade kit that boosted the stock 740 system to 13-14psi.
Also, their intercoolers are almost gold if you can find one in descent condition!

The turbine housings have a tendancy to crack inside at the wastegate hole which makes getting into boost not so fun. You should replace it anywa beind it uses a non-T3 ridged gasketless flange and there are no manifolds with that design.
