I met some guy tonight with a turbo 2.2 ecotec in his saturn tonight, and he claimed that he was making 400hp on stock internals. Now correct me if I am wrong here, but I believe this guyis full of s**t. I was wondering what kind of power are you guys making on stock internalled eco's and who has made the most to date.

I'm willing to bet that the 2.0 turbocharged and supercharged motors can hold over 400hp stock.

im willing to bet they can hold maybe 350 tops. As strong as the Ecotec is I doubt 400HP on GM forged parts. If the forged internals are aftermarket parts bought and used by GM...then maybe.

The Saab, Cobalt, Ion 2.0 Engine will hold 400 HP to the engine with the proper engine tuning.
The key is how long will it hold for.... any engine can hold x amount of power... will it be once? twice? or for a whole year? No one will ever know. People blow stock engines while others drive on stock engines for 500,000 miles.
He said he just had the kit put on and he was running COMPLETELY STOCK internals, meaning no headwork either. I really did not believe anything he was saying, it was set up nice and everything, but the biggest #'s I have seen to date on stock internalled eco's boosting is just shy of 300whp.

i put down 317 at 17 psi before it started to missfire, i don't have the graph of the 317 but here is the link to my other dynos:

but as karo said, i didn't see my car lasting too long at 17 psi on stock internals (i already felt the car was living on borrowed time); but it runs real strong on 10 psi no problems at all.
