XS Turbos have a good history of being cheaply made and there have been plenty of horror stories when people install them and only miles down the road something breaks and bye bye turbo.

Honestly, if you are going to invest money into your care with such an important part, look for a quality part for cheap, not a cheap quality part for cheap.

I was pretty sure that they made glued together snails........ that LOOK like turbos.....

DON"T BUY ONE ....... spend a little more and get a garrett turbo, or a turbonetics turbo....

it depends on which one you get, if you look at the pictures online you can see which ones are "glued together"

they have ones that the compressor housing is 2 pieces, those are the ones to be scared of, but many people are using the single piece compressor housing with good luck.

BUT i still wouldn't recommend them

here is a link to some very very helpful information about xs power and ssautochrome

On my 2g eclipse GS i put a XS power hybrid T3/04E on and I love it quick spoolup and its been on for about 10K miles and no problems yet other than a small oil leak around the housing

I am someone who wouldn't skimp on a major modification. let alone the heart of the system. THESE GUYS are great. just download their price sheet under DOWNLOADS.

But i've heard both sides of the argument with twistec and xs power. I guess it's really luck of the draw who gets a real comp. housing and who gets the 2 piece elmer's snail

Garrett Turbos, IHI if you come across one, or mitsu as a last resort. Turbonetics versions of any of those are great. Don't even bother considering anything else. XS power is GARBAGE.
