turbo rebuild... eak i guess i blew my turbine side piston ring off the turbo. turbo still runs and builds boost, center housing seems uneffected, but she blows oil out through the exhaust bad. anyhow i need it rebuilt, in a timely fashion, and i need some help hunting down the right turbo rebuilder.

I have no freaking clue, but i would just like to comment that you have a massive intercooler . How much boost you blowing? If your looking to replace the turbo the subaru performance place my bro goes to, he has an STi sells used WRX and STi turbos in great condition for like $100. I think all that would be needed is a different adaptor plate and a short bit of new exhaust pipe. Just letting you know, its an opion.

thanks bud. the intercooler is decent sized (26x8x3") but it gets the job done. i've had some decent boost go through her (~15), hopefully more this season before i sell the car.
as for the vf (sti/wrx) thats just to much fabrication that will be needed that i rather not get into again. anyway the question still remains anyone service a turbocharger in the past?

I dont think these guys rebuild turbos but I know they carry the best turbocharger stuff out there. I was reccomended

My VR4 friends and I go through a few different places. Precision Turbo, Road Race Engineering, and there's a place in Texas called Majestic Turbo. They're all good places to get turbos rebuilt. RRE does mainly Mitsubishi units but you can get OE units through them for a good price.
