First off id like to state that yes i have read the top and do know that 2.5"/3" exhaust tubing is recommended for a S/C setup but is it really that big of a performance difference b/w having a 2.5" and a 2.25" exhasut setup on a S/C? or is there some type of issue id have to worry about with running a 2.25" exhaust setup with a supercharger?

if you answered your question why are you asking the question...........
2.5" is okay ..... but if your going to get 2.5" pressure bent...... you might as well get a 2 1/4" MANDREL bent system.................. they come prebent, mandrel made of s.s new for like 300.......... a 2.5" exhaust is a bit more expensive... more metal............. but I don't know how much it would cost to get a 2.5" pipe bent on a Mandrel bender.............. probably 400 by the time your done.............. 2 1/4 would be fuctionally okay ................... and 2.5" will be very expensive........ comparing ............

im running a full 2 1/4" system , and went from a 16.0 to a 14.38 with the s/c
and traction is my only limiting factor to making the car faster
well that and more money , LOL
the performance ive gotten out of my 2 1/4" im very happy with
^^I attest. I have 2.5in and should have went to 2-1/4.
Now if you have a turbo, go 2.5in or bigger.

i'm buying a VW those people love trees, so they should love eachother too... "Andy"
I'm running a 2.5 cat back exhaust with a 2.5 cat and i'm pleased with mine...keep in mind with going 2.5 the difference would be you lose a little low end torque and gain it on your top end is what my exhaust expert friend told me. Knowing that your running a supercharger you won't have to worry about any loss of low end power cuz of your charger so if that's what you got you should be fine. Either way your car will move nicely. Good luck and enjoy it
would a 3inch downpipe to 2.5 catback work right on a charger setup? like 3" from the collector back on a pacesetter header?
Full 2.5 inches from the header collecter to the tailpipe tips. Now I'm just waiting for the supercharger to come out.
Semper Fi SAINT. May you rest in peace.
boosted as i said im running full 2 1/4" , from my pacesetter header all the way out
i dont plan on going larger on my exhaust tell im running a built motor with larger cams , and M62/M90 and over 10 psi
Bills header, 2.5 all the way back baby!! incl the cat!!
^^^^^^^^^^^^^ I love the look of your ride............

thanks.......i just put on a new rear bumper this morning.
custom tubes inc.. 3 inch mandrel bent pipes (j body catback pipes) 200 shipped
LE61T PTE6262 Powered
A cat back system for that price is a good deal... does it come with muffler or just the pipe?
4-1 headder, no cat, dynomax bullett muffler to act as a resonator, and a dynomax super turbo muffler, looks stock..... i love it!
i wouldent go any smaller than 2.5, i kinda wish i would have went 4-2-1 with 3 in to the resonator, then 2.5.... oh well
