I don't weant to start an arguement. but I am wondering which is better.
So I guess I am asking for the pro's and cons of each...
I have a 2.4 but wondering if I should swap it to a 2.2 and turbo that instead...

It's probably a better idea to keep the 2.4, even if the eco is better, think of the money it would cost to get it all swapped in and running correctly.
^^^ Has a very good point. With the money you would be spending on the engine swap and then going turbo, you could have probably already have a fairly well built 2.4L. Thats just my $0.02.
