I looked in the sticky first looked at what it had for my LD9 and about barfed. it is , Only a 5psi turbo kit for the LD9 that is for cav connection. twisted is a bad link and race craft only offers for the eco 2.2. Does any body know of anyone else that offers a turbo kit for the LD9?

Jtuners.com has a kit for he LD9. It looks nice, considered it myself, but I decided to go the Custom route and spend less

MaximumBoost.net also has one, some question it's quality though. Search for it here and see what folks have to say.

Just because it's preset to 5 or 6 psi doesn't mean it stays there. You can turn them up to whatever you want.

Don't take it on the wrong side but with the things you said, you're not ready to have a turbo on your cav/sunfire.

It's not like an intake that you bolt on and go. The kits are available but without knowledge, you'll be on the side of the road soon.

Just because I dont post in my profile or on my cardomain page what I have in store, does not mean im not ready for a turbo/charger. I am more than ready Im just looking long and hard for what my next move is. There is only one person on this org that know what im doing and im sure he forgot by now. So, Im just looking for more info/peoples finds. Also peoples ups and downs with the turbo/charger kits they bought. Some kits are compleat trash while others are liquid gold. So dont take it wrong but I know more than how to bolt a stupid WAI on a car.

Thanks
Kevin

Start saving for a kit around the same time you start reading up on the actual parts. Don't buy a single piece until you can afford them all and know exactly where you want to go with it.
Gilles speaks the truth, if you don't know all the parts you need to build a kit without just buying a whole kit, you aren't ready for the headaches involved with driving a non-factory turbo car.
Make good friends with someone near by that knows their sh*t and keep on reading...you should be straight by the time you can afford all the parts.

Don't be stopped by the fact that the jtuners kit is "only" 5 psi ......

the wastegate on the set up.... if internal.... can be preloaded to run 8 psi ..... anymore and I'd be worried about the intergrity of the gate..... or just get a MBC.... or EBC........

external.... your laughing ..... just need to swap out the spring to the desired PSI......

thats all little stuff..... if your looking for a good KIT.... get the jtuners and worry about turning up the boost AFTER the kit is installed and running perfectly..... besides..... anymore then 8 psi on that LD9 bottom end.... and I'd watch out ....

good luck ...

maximum boost is not a kit its an overpriced universal kit. He sells stage 3 for his kits for 3500 when in reality it costs about 1700 to piece it together off ebay. The parts are bad quality and i would suggest building your own. Im sure he will post and defend his company to the grave but the kits are doo doo and it doesnt even come with a downpipe. Name a quality kit for 3500 that does not come with a downpipe. I posed as a potential buyer on ebay and asked him a bunch of questions. He pretty much has little knowledge on the whole fuel thing. He doesnt know how the fmu works he told me it tuned itself. ha also with his stage 3 kit has bigger injectors and an fmu as its fuel management and the fmu is non adjustable. doo sorry im done venting.

For those that are boost-illiterate and don't trust themselves in buying the correct parts, I also enlist my services fairly in putting together everything needed for base setups to full race setups.

probably for like 900 USD..... well less if I used those glue together turbos....... mmmm XS power..... mmmmm more like PUKE ... xs power...... PUKE....

Victory is mine! ... and Lee's! LOL D

As for all that legal stuff, I heard about that. Not necessarily what happened exactly, but I did read his apology thread that was here a while back. However, when I bought my B&M shifter a little over a month ago I got it from Max. Boost for best price around at that time, and got it to me in 3 days... no problems as far as service that goes... at least for me.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

victory is truely yours..... I'm just a crappy second..........

and I'm sure that he got you, your B&M quickly.... but damn were talking about a custom fabbed turbo "kit" that doesn't come with a downpipe or correctly fit charge piping ...... like WHOA>........ but it's good to hear you had good luck with them.......

as far as the apology post...... I never saw that ...................and a business owner shouldn't ever have to post an apology about his business that never existed in the first place.....

baaaaaaaaZING............

well now as far as I know he is an establised business....... which is good to hear..... once the kit comes as a complete kit I'd be more intised to purchase said kit .... but until then, NO WAY ..... Jtuners all the way !!!!

I guess I should have said that differently. It wasn't so much of an "apology" thread... the way I said that was misleading. It was more like an "I've been in some trouble lately, I know I f**ked up a little, and I'm sorry about that, but I'm still in the market so please continue to buy my stuff!" thread. It was a while ago though...

LOL good point, the B&M is just the tinyest bit different than a turbo kit .

Yup, JTuners kit all the way if not a custom job.

Frank did eventually get his business license, tax ID number, all that crap. However, his business practices are still the same, the only difference is now he is registered. But his credibility is still ZIP.
