Does anybody have this N2O/CO2 N-tercooler kit? I searched and couldn't find anything about it. Is it really as great as they say it is? Thanks, sorry if there's aready a thread on this, looked but couldn't find one.

I have it. On my application is really only helps on HOT days. Now if I start running 20PSI+, correction WHEN, then it will probably help a lot more.

This is good to hear from a reputable source, I was told that they are complete garbage...... that they don't do anything for you and they are a waste of money ......

but if they work on hot days ... I might just have to get one for those scorching hot 100+ days at the track in the summer, that when I get home I have the WORST sunburn ever......

good to hear !!

Thanks hypsy.....

I ONLY use it now when air temp is 80 and above. Cools the charge so much more than just a plain IC.

I believe it was S3 that did dyno tests of the 3 major ones a few months ago. All showed marked improvements with the units vs. without.

Of course, if you REALLY want to make the most of that nitrous, inject it into the engine instead!

All kidding aside, they do really work.

Ok, thanks Hypsy. I'm not going to worry about then, it doesn't really get to hot around here, and I plan on stayin around 8-10PSI at least for a while. Thanks again.
And

"glad to hear it from a reputable source."

I thought the N-tercooler was a CO2 setup

No it isn't if you're talking about the NX N-tercooler it's nitrous. Cry-O2 is the onlt CO2 sprayer I've seen along with some homemade kits.

Ah ha. What a waste of expensive nitrous. Granted, a lower intake charge is great. But, I wouldn't want to pay $4 a pound for it. I'd definitely go Cry-o2 or water injection over that.

This is always a huge debate on srtforums. Some say it's worth it to spray the nitrous because it's colder then the CO2 and also because some of the nitrous getting into the intake making it sort of a dry shot. There has also been people saying that they sprayed CO2 during a run and it would choke the engine but it's cheaper to refill than nitrous. preference i guess.

All of the kits will run CO2 or nitrous. I know...I've run both through this unit and talked to NOS in detail about theirs. The only difference is a SLIGHT temperature change in the expelled CO2 and optimal pressure differences.

If the IC is designed right there is NO way in hell that nitrous or CO2 should be getting into the intake tract. The only way that would be possible is through a crack and if you have those you have much bigger issues. The info floating around about this being a small dry shot or choking out engines is just and nothing more.

I doubt it's BS because it's been proven on the dyno and the track. The choking of the engine or "dry shot" would only happen on srt's that had a CAI that would extend down near the IC. I'll see if I can find the thread.

Ok now that's a different story. If your filter was RIGHT next to the IC and picked up the LITTLE bit that got shot off to the side then MAYBE it would be like a 5HP dry shot. Nothing you'd notice or write home about.

If you want the nitrous as a power adder like that put the nozzle in....PERIOD
