Hello,
I'm getting all my stuff ready for a boost build up on an LD9 and my brother moved away and left me with an AEM AVM-25-302B fuel pressure regulator. I looked up some specs
Specs
and it says it has a 1:1 rising ratio. This is basically doing the same thing as a vortech FMU for intance but at only 1:1 and not like a 8:1 or higher correct? Basically meaning that for a LD9 running 12psi, this would be useless to me beacuse I would need a higher pressure rise rate correct?
Also, what rising rate and injector combo would you suggest to run at 12psi, or possibly 18psi?
i wouldnt suggest an fmu for more than 6-8psi let alone 12psi..
if you have a 00+ ld9 get it reflashed.. but 12psi may be a bit much for it
if you have 96-99 then you can wait for HPTuners or megasquirt or a bunch of other options.
all in all i would get a more accurate tuning devise for that kind of boost.
Sven you totally quarterloafed your computer..
What options do I have then.....its a 2000 LD9...does megasquirt run on a 00+ LD9?
megasquirt could run your lawn mower
15.574 @ 89 mph stock
you can get the GM supercharger reflash for 2000-2002 ld9's....since yours is a 2000, it would be a good idea to get the reflash. its not only for the supercharger, it lets the computer recognize any kind of boost. you'll need the pcm reflashed, 310cc injectors, and a 2 bar MAP sensor to run it properly. then install the turbo or supercharger kit you want and you pretty much set. on a stock ld9 i personally wouldnt run more than 10 psi, but people have run higher boost and been fine so its up to you.
