No wastegate on the turbo. I have to get a flange welded onto the mani for it still.
I will defintely get you all some numbers when its done. I hope to do it here in the next few weeks.
so in all what do you have so far? im putting one togeter too, so id like to see ur set up
Correct me if I'm wrong, but that looks like one of those crappy eBay turbos to me. I'd say dump it and get something decent or have fun being boosted for 5 miles...

Yeah, its a turbo off ebay, but I have 3 friends that have ran the same turbo and they loved them. They had theirs on for a long time and recommended the shop to me. Guess we'll see what happens. I just don't understand how they could still be a BBB partner if what everyone says is true. They have great customer feedback and not many complaints that I could find. Let me know if any one here has had bad luck with them.
I'm tired right now, but I'll run down a list of what all I have for the set up tomorrow.
You can't trust looking at customer feedback on eBay for one major reason....
Most of these people let the parts sit around in their room for months while they collect the other remaining parts they need. Most people just throw up positive feedback based on how fast they were shipped the part and how the part outwardly looks to them. At the point in which they finally get everything hooked up and running, BOOM!!! Your fun only lasts for a couple of minutes...
www.westcoast-turbo.com is a great place to pick up really cheap but high quality turbochargers. Every once and a while, they put out some killer deals on turbochargers through www.homemadeturbo.com. I managed to pick up a T3/T04E 50 trim with .60 A/R compressor housing, .48 A/R turbine housing with a stage I turbine wheel for $489. If you don't need something so big, a decent T3 Super 60 for $389 will suit you just fine if your LD9 will continue to be a stock block and head. I think during the sale they had around Christmas, the Super 60 made it down to $299 each. That's a killer deal for a remanfactured turbo that was built properly.
Do yourself a favor and avoid the hardship NOW that will ultimately lead you to questioning why you wanted to do such project in the first place. I've seen people sell all of their crap over a stuipid mistake that they could of prevented if they had done a little more research.
Resell the turbo on eBay. If that's one of the T3/T04E turbos that SS has been infecting the population with, list the auction for $25-$50 lower than their asking price. You'll definitely get a retard buyer to purchase it (no offense to yourself).
BTW: The reason why the SS turbochargers are so cheap is because they're Chinese made pieces of crap. The tolerances they use in machining the housings, bearings, and rotating assembly are NOWHERE near what Garrett and Turbonetics have been churning out for the past 50+ years.
If you don't want to take my advice, that's cool. You have been warned of the consequences. I'd hate to see you destroy your turbo and then be pissed to the point of calling it quits with your car. Turn back now before you make a major mistake.
