I'm currently thinking of forking over some of my own personal money to get a "reduced price" on the scan tool from scantool.net. I have a friend with this scantool, and he loves it. You can monitor what the engine is doing and also clear CEL's. There are different programs out there, including ones that data log. A personal laptop is required as this is just an interface. I will personally be using this to check out my IAT temps and my timing advance once i put the 2.7 pulley on my charger.
Normal price is 94.95 plus shipping, I can offer it for 79.95 SHIPPED. That's an overall discount of 20%, and if you dont include shipping, an average 25% discount. I'd have about 9 or so to sell, and there would be no minimum requirement of buyers to start shipping. I'd ship them the same day via Priority Mail if the post office is still open.
Lemme know and I'll get this rolling ASAP
ps - in case anyone's wondering, in the past i've done goldline springs gp, AEM intake gp, and a eurolite headlight bulbs gp. I'm ready to do this if you guys are.

I'm hoping mine gets here tomorrow. Dang the luck.
as a little clarification, you can use any software you'd like.
but i will add that the mobydic interface that digimoto sells is 135 alone without their software, and 160 with.

They also sell it with the ELM interface, same one that Scantool.net uses. Honestly I don't think a lot of people will be very happy with it. Its got a very slow scan rate, and really isn't very good for much other than pulling codes. Digimoto actually has a really nice digital gauge dashboard and is very fast for the interface.

Buy stuff from CarCustoms Ebay! Won't be disappointed!
I've had no problems with the scantool.net one. If you're only wanting to know certain things like IAT and timing advance then this is all you need. I'm sure the other one is better but some of us don't need all that stuff.

I just got mine today. I bought the ELMscan5. Comes with a demo software and the same software used on the other ones and allows me to hook to any OBD II car. I like it. I'm also downloading some of free softwares that will work with this. I will admit that the speed on the scantool software is not superfast, but using another software with the same adapters from scantool, this thing is really fast. I would recommend it. They are also updating software for the scantool as we speak. Looking forward to the V2.0
the Elmscan 5 is about 140. the digimoto is about 160.
The one i can offer is the VPW only one, which will work with a majority of GM vehicles. for me, spending 80 is better than spending 100, 140, or 160 for the simple use that i wanna have it for.
remember, this is only interest and me helping to get people (including me) a little bit lower price.

You are correct $144 shipped, but I only paid the $44 part, the rest was a Xmas gift. Viper I thinkn you are trying to do a good thing. I'm not saying this is the best thing out there, but people really should start taking another step than just puttin parts on a car. Lots of good info to be found by just reading sensor's.
Also Digimoto has free software (already have it) that works with the scantool. I have actually downloaded about 4 different programs that will work with it, and plan to download a few more.
so what scan tool will...I know the Gennius 2 scan tool we have at tech will any other cheaper ways to read this ??????
Thanx Charles

Why don't you just get a tranny temp gauge.
Can anyone here explain to me the short and long fuel trims? I want to some what understand the readings on that.
u know, i never thought that the jbody had a stock tranny temp sensor. but maybe one of the 500 or 2000 dollar scan tools might read that? lol.

I know the tech II scanners will read the stock tranny temp. I think also the OBDII.com program will as well (not 100
. I have downloaded that program but have not been able to get it to work with the ELM5.
