WILL A DURAMAX MAP WORK WITH REFLASH

i read some were that i could use a map sensor off a Chev duramax just wondering if this a plug and play for the supercharger re-flash thanks

Do a search. There was a post about this in the past.

If the Duramax stays under 14.7psi of boost in it's stock form, then yes, chances are the map sensor will work just fine because GM would have thrown a 2 bar map sensor on it in if that's the case.

Goto summitracing.com and purchase a sensor from there. Type "2 bar map" into the search and you'll come up with a couple options.

All 2 bar map sensors are exactly the same aside from asthetics and possibly the type of connector.

no the duramax wont work.. i tried it and my car didnt like to run very well..i found the only one that worked was the supercharger one.. but that is gm map sensors only..

what do u guys pay for the gm maps i priced one here (canada) and it was like $293 CND and that sucks the big one.

the GM supercharger map sensor came up as the same sensor used on the Duramax........ but there are 2 sensors on the Duramax...... on in the intake manifold, and one on the charge pipe.

what about a cobalt ss i priced one off the 2.0L and it was around $98 CND good in theory but does anyone know if it will work it must be a 2 bar

the cobalt 1 wont work

listen 2 myzcar...............we ordered just about every sensor in the
"will this sensor fit" thread..none of them worked except the gm sensor.

the older 2 bar turbo sunbird map works........ you just need to wire in the new plug for it.....

Smokey has it on his car.

but in that case wouldn't a MSD or accel work they have the old style plug.

i used one once when i drove home....lol

i know..... i also know what i'm going to have to do but i'm just trying to make myself feel better about going to GM and giving them $293. for sothing that cost them $0.10 to make but i guess i'm paying for what it does not what it is.
