ok well im only a few things shy of having my engine done. only thing left is valve train.
im looking at ferrea and SI
anyone have either or have opinions? price? where you picked them up at?
im looking at the springs and retainers. so far the best iv found is right under 700 shipped for the ferrea springs, retainers and keepers. no valves
Spend a little more and get the Patriot Stage 2 head. About $1300 after all is said and done. They include oversized valves, stronger springs, bronze guides, 5 axis CNC P'n'P, and a whole lot more. Look it up on their site...

lol a little? 1300 is alot more then 680. almost double man. port and polishing isnt need for my. a local friend can do a mild port. i just need a valve train that can handle 20+ psi.
if anyone wants to know, i emailed SI about springs and retainers. they said the only offer valves for the ecotec.
Give comp cams a try. I think they should have the retainers, springs, and locks. Along with cams.

yes, yes i am. the same setup gm is using on their drag eco? i need something that will be sufficient for 20-28psi and make between 350-400whp and hande 6500 rpms that wont float or bind. also, its going into a stock head. its not being ported. and not going to run oversized valves

so far the best deal iv found is 680.42 shipped for the ferrea springs, retainers and seats. so ill wait to hear from you. im gonna try to have this all done and in for spring break and broken in for summer.
