Can you still buy the s/c from the dealer for 2000 2.4. I was told they stoped making them and there hard to come buy is this true.

just buy it from www.paceperformance.com, search for LD9 Supercharger, $2,295.00 shipped. Same thing, warranty still applies, just cheaper.

what about getting the computer done does the dealer still do it and is it free like it is if u get it from the dealer. also does the new program come with the s/c its self.

i bought mine straight from gm in michigan, theyre still available im sure.

the s/c definitely has become a little bit more rare. there used to be 1000 units for sale, now supposedly there are only 250 in total. so count how many have been sold (which i'm not sure how many), and thats what you have left.

that said though i doubt TOO many have been sold lol. you could easily find one anywhere. as for the reprogramming, you basically can install the gm s/c on your car, yet leave the original map sensor on the car. then drive the car to the nearest gm dealership and ask them to reprogram the pcm for you, and take the instruction sheet with you. they CANNOT charge you for the program itself, but they do have the right to charge you for the time their guy spent doing it (normally just an hour or half hour of labor). then before he starts it, change out the map sensor, and you should be all good to go.
