I have added a light inside my car than is wired to my lighter port. This light is brighter than I thought it would be and was wondering if I could add a dimmer switch or simply put something inline that would degrade the power going to this light, making it darker.
What type of light, incandescent or flourescent? if it's an incandescent then you can add a resistor or dimmer (variable resistor) inline to limit the current. Just make sure you size it to handle enough wattage so you wont burn it up.
