I just got my alternator replaced maybe a month ago, and i wanna install 2 12's in the back, i was wondering what's the highest watt i can go without having something @!#$ up again

Your alt produces amperage. So if you get a set of subs, your choice will determine what you can do.

there are several people on here running systesm over 1000 watts on the stock alternator.

I have a 1200watt bazooka hooked up to an Infinity Reference 12" in a "L" ported box and a JVC LH-810 headunit. I only have a lil alternator Squeak when i start my car, nothing serious. It goes away after a few seconds. I hope that helps any....

i have 2 Diamond Audio 12's, and 2 1000wt Kenwood amps in my back seat. I hooked up 2 1/2 farad capacitors, and have never had any sort of problem.

capacitors (caps) seem like the way to go to keep power from your alt.

I also have my amp running off the stock alt. I don't know how its possible, but I am running a directed 1500d to 3 compvr 12s with no dimming at all.
