i dont know if its my bandpass box... my deck or what the hell but i cannot get subs to sound clean in my @!#$ no matter wut ive messed with the deck, amp evrything its like i get a constant bass.. or barely any.. i want it to hit hard and STOP.. when its suppose to. instead mine is like booom booooom.. just a bunch of bass. Before i had my sony deck everything seemed to sound better?? im going to try a sealed box today but then im going to sell my deck and get a new one i think.. any suggestions?
it's the BOX!!!! prefab bandpass enclosures are boomy....

yea...most likely its the bandpass box. You shouldnt have any problem with Pioneer cd players, since you can adjust the audio settings quite extensively...at least on most of them.

I had a set of 15's that sounded like pure, hot, wet ass... I sold them for pretty cheap. The guy I sold them to threw them into a better box and I kicked myself...
If something sounds off, try changing the box first

(after adjusting levels, etc)
the problem with a bandpass is that there not universal, the have to be built exactly to spec for the driver....even at that there 1 note wonders...very small useable range.
not to mention there sub destroyers if not used properly....there good for someone who wants to add some boom with a single efficent 10 or 12 with little power
