Sub and amp question Fine tuning which direction?

well i just put 2 12's in my car. I had to geta bandpass enclosure. seems like when i have my music on im like always hearing bass alot of my friends its like more solid and more bass and less times.. hard to explain but mine is like constant bass ive messed with the gain n @!#$ n frequency.. i have 2 12's 380RMS a piece and a 1600 watt amp. Where should i turn the box? towards me or away from me. Also what are some basics for tuning an amp i also have a pioneer deck . Only thing i can do that seems to help is turn down my remote bass thing that came with amp all the way down it still hits just as hard but is more in tune with the volume of the deck instead of being at like 5- and subbing the same as it would at 35. Let me know im kind of new to the whole cat audio scene

for starters, it wont matter which way your box points to any great amount.

Then turn the GAIN on your amp down. Gains aernt volume controls, just level controls. If its still louder that what it should be ( I think this is what your problem is ) Some pioneer decks have a sub level contro lin them, under the audio menu. Turn this down as well.

Oh and if you have loudness on, turn it off.

Just some stuff to try

on my jl audio 500/1 im sort of having this same problem, if i turn my gain down and my sub level on my alpine deck i get hardly any bass, turn the gain like half up and then the sub level to like 5 or whatever gives you decent sounding bass, worked for me but im always fooling with my amp cause i always get used to it fast.

well...your probelm is..

1) They are Sony's

2) It's a pre-made bandpass.

Get a sealed box and they'll sound better.
