rear speaker making funny noise
Thursday, April 21, 2005 6:30 PM
Today I took my car to have the windows retinted because the first time they screwed up, well whenever I got my car back passenger side rear speaker was making a vibrating noise and sounding very odd does anybody know what could be the cause of this?

No, I was there...see they had to take the back dash off and they covered the speakers up with a towel and sprayed a chemical on the window to get the old glue off the rear window. I am thinking that they might have accidentally got some of that chemical on the speaker, is there any chance if this did happen that it would dry and be okay? I already talked to the guys back at the shop and they said if it did not fix itself in a week they would replace it...though I was just curious if anybody had any suggestions...it sound chattery...

have you physically LOOKED at the speaker?? maybe there is a wire laying on it or something else touching the cone. causing it to sound funny.

Good Idea I will check it once the tint dries better...well could the speaker be damp and it causing it to do that? and if it is damp will in time it stop chattering?
