i keep blowing my amp and my friend is having the same problem. he thinks it's because our amps (different amps, same subs) are only rated to 4 ohms bridged and when we bridge it it's a 2 ohm load. i thought my amp was rated at 2 but when i looked on the bottom of the amp it didn't give me a bridged rating. my amp is a rockford fosgate 700s from a couple years ago. any ideas as to where i can get some specs? rockford's website only had this year's and last year's last time i checked and mine's too old. thanks.

thank you jason. i'll give them a call in a little bit.

What Jason said is correct. The amp is stable 2ohm stereo and only 4ohm bridged. If you are running it at 2ohm bridged, that is why you are blowing it.
Oh, and you can find the old owner manuals on the Fosgate website, just do a search for them. Hope this helps.

The system has arrived.
fosgates max power are always 2 @ 2 ohm or 1 @ 4 ohm bridged. always have been for a long time.
