I have a kenwood 200W HU that i'm gonna put in my 2001 Cavalier Z24 soon, but i got a question. When i got the deck i put it in my 1991 Grand Prix and i used in there for the summer after that my alternator gave out. Now i'm sort of worried if i put it in the cavalier (50k miles) it might ruin the alternator? I'm also throwing in a 12'' sub and 250W amp in there. What are your thoughts?
So youre worried about your deck killing your alternator???? That draws about the same amount of current as your dome lights do..

ok cool ya thats what i'm worried i guess it was just a coincidence that the alternator in my pontiac went after the deck was installed.
