Does anyone have any pictures of a 12" sub or any sub for that matter mounted in the spare tire well. How would it sound with just a peice of plywood over spare tire space comapred to actually building a box in the spare tire.... Pictures would be very helpful

Just ploppin a piece of board over that hole won't make it an enclosure. It won't be sealed so it'll sound like crap, not to mention you'll most likely blow your sub from running it free-air. Unless you have a free-air sub and have done everything to your trunk to accomodate it. You'll also need a pretty small sub to do that, you've only got about 6-7 inches depth at the most. False floors are where its at if you want that look.. search around it's been asked a million gazillion fafillion times lol
yeah the sound quality you would get would just be pure crap. Your sig shows a car that looks like its had a lot of time spent on it so why spare the extra time to do the stereo right rather than a nice quick job. Fair enough the nice quick job would be great but for the extra show quality and sound quality go with either a false floor or just buy a good sub box.
build a box in your spare tire well, angle the sub up and towards the back, and glass it. It would look cool. Also dynamat the whole well before putting the box in. If you just used a piece of plywood on top, it would sound like a tin can.
