Hey guys, first post here
Im messing with my g/f's car so she can compete as well. I started poking around under the hood last night. I tried running a search with no luck on this motor and soundddomain wasnt any help either.
A g34 yellow top fits in just fine with the stock air bs. and i traced the factory battery ground to the battery tray and then to the motor. The alt seems to be a b itch to get to and i didnt locate any of the other grounds/powers i need to get to...if anyone who's done this could help me out a bit
has anybody managed to get a sp1700, hc2400, g31 in successfully? Havent seen how much removing the air ducting frees up..
all you have to do is run new wires...leave the stocks, they won't hurt anything.
battery to chassis (that one is easy enough).
battery to alternator..(bit tough to get to) should be a bolt on the alt with the stock wire...just stick the new wire on there with it.
finally...alt to ground. (alternativly engine block to ground, since the alt is grounded through it's mounting points on the block) i personally just ran a wire from the mounting bolt to the chassis.
