Rear Deck and back seat rattle

Are their any good tricks for keeping the rear deck from rattling? I have a Dynamat trunk kit in my car but I still get rattle. If I dynamat the rear deck it will keep sound from coming into the cabin right? just looking for ideas.

That depends on how your subs are installed, really. If you're depending on the holes in your rear desk to pass your low end through, then you won't want to cover them. The first thing I'd do in that situation is try to determine exactly what's rattling. Often you can simply use foam weatherstripping that's adhesive on one side to pad the offending item. Works well with things such as speaker mounts, license plates, and such. I've also used it to pad and correct dash and door squeaks as well....it's like a wonder drug for obnoxious noises.

dynamat the rear deck top and bottom. it wont stop any sound from coming in, actually it will improve the sound because you wont have the noise of metal rattling, thereby making the music seem more pronounced

In many cases this is correct. Depends on the remainder of the system, though, and what it's used for. That's why I indicated that it made a difference in whether or not the low end was expected to pass through the deck. There are times that sealing the rear deck will cause some frequencies to "disappear." For example, if he's depending on the subs for any amount of mid-bass at all, and he seals the rear deck, he risks losing that mid-bass reinforcement that the subs are giving. If the subs are strictly used for bottom-end reinforcement or brute impact, then sealing the deck won't cause any problems at all...you're correct.
