im kinda low on cash and i have a 99 ford ranger i want to upgrade the sound system so i would like some recondmendations for a decent sounds system keeping in mind i have only 500 dollars to spend and do not know much about car audio

What are you looking for? speakers , radio , subs, amp?

If your looking for a radio get a low end kenwood or pioneer for about a 100 dollars.
100 dollars

Pioneer speakers are good and the lower end ones can be found cheap
150 for 4 speakers about, 100 for 6x9s and 50 ish for smaller ones

For a Sub id go with a RF Punch He or something of that sort. Good,loud,cheap, sounds good
used around 75 dollars plus a box add 25 if its used

Amp basically anything name brand with about 200 watts that you can find for cheap.
about 200 dollars

If you do that you should be around that price range
100+150+75+50+200= $575 thats as close as i can get you for a full set up besides wiring

That puts you at $390, plus shipping, shouldnt be more than 100 bucks total,should have enough for you to buy wiring kit (20-40$), materials to build a box, or buy a prefab box. (20-40$)
