hey guys, just like the title says, does anyone have any pictures of sound deadener installed in the trunk? i got the base part covered, but the trunk lid...how do i go about that? Also, is it a good idea to sound deaden the rear deck if my sub is in the trunk? and...how could i do my rearveiw mirror...with nothing but my pioneer 6x9s it rattles like a mother when i got my Godsmack Cd turnen up, any solutions for that? i really don't want a duct tape look on my mirror, lol.

You cant use sound deadening on your rearview mirror. lol. For the trunck lid, just remove it to get better access.

what i did for my trunk was cut out some shaped pieces for the sunken in areas, then for the raised areas cut wide strips and layed them down with some overlap. what you don't want is air bubbles in the contours of the sheet metal, so use smaller pieces where needed.

covering the rear deck made the biggest improvement, i have a few square feet left which i'm going to put underneath the rear deck also

I started running out so I just did spots in the seats to finish up
Yes I have it on the roof, no it hasn't leaked and yes I have added more to the trunk

usually liquid is cheaper than the sheets... One gallon can cover up to nearly 50 sq feet and cost only 35$ whereas mats can get more expensive

I got a 100 sq ft ready to go. For those of you who have layerd the whole trunk,
do you hear any rattle standing outside of the car? With the seats up?

Well i did mine a few weeks ago, same time i replaced the carpets and started the interior painting and dying of the seats. I used 75 sq ft of Fatmat.

Thats one layer, for the roof, all of trunk, rear deck, floor and firewall.

I still havent been able to pinpoint the rattling in the rear bumper, and its not the plate, nor the reverse lights, i had them off when i looked for that damn rattle.

cool thanks that's exactly what i was looking for, planning on ordering some fatmat here in the next few days along with a bunch of other stuff.

how has it worked for you? mostly i want to eliminate more road noise than make my system sound better, just a bonus.

thanks
