i purchased a new alpine mrd-1001 1000 watt mono amp in janurary, its been hooked up an working until yesterday when i turned my car off after tuning my amp. turned it back on, an here were the readings on the digital display: 14.2 V, -- -- -- A (amps) ....why is my amp all of a sudden reading voltage but no amperage????? anyone with amp knowledge or suggestions please post. i hate having no system. thanks guys!

did you check your fuses? you could have power at the amp but the power is not flowing through you might of some how shorted it out and popped a fuse
