Ok so ive got i think its a JL 15"wo (im borrowing from a friend)

keep in mind these are not mine i have a RF 800 watt amp and a 12" punch he (not hooked up) and havent yet cuz my friend has my amp

but anways its sounds pretty good buy i dont have my real low bass.!? Ive got some but barely any. Its all hoked up in my fiero in the pass seat. Also it sounds like i get distorion or something from the sub while it playing. like not all of it is bass some is just the sound of the sub moving. is that cuz its rite next to me? and all subs do that?

So my real question is , is it the sub or amp? the amp is turned all the way up on everything.

And then im thinking about getting a 15" solo baric L5. Would that sound good by itself in a tiny car like mine?...

ohh also ive got a kenwood 45x4 deck with pioneer 6x9's in the rear in boxes.
and pioneer 4x6's up front

1. You prolly have the gain set way too high
2. In the pass seat? It's not going to sound good there, going to get a lot of cancellation more than likely.

At least that is my take on what is going on.

i dont have anywhere else to put a 15" sub. I dont care anymore i decided im not keeping the stupid pos cheap mofo sub. I tore one of the connecters off from it extruding to far. (you no the wire coming from the cone to the connecter. Well it just tore off the stupid connecter. He told me it did it before but he fixed. It .. oh well stupid efing subs. I think ima get that L5 now

yea, your not gonna get a good response from having it in the passenger seat, lol. also the box plays a MAJOR role in how your sub performs. what's the size of the box?

if u had the "amp turned all the way up on everything" you problalby blew his sub. the gain is not a volume control and full gain with a bass boost would be even worse.


why are u wanting a 15" sub in a fiero. thats just going to look pretty ghetto for one,

Oh the sub is a W3 not the Wo so that changes things. Arite its in the pass seat cuz thats the only place to put it unless i put it behind my seat which is very uncomfortable cuz even with the 12" box i made its tight. Anyways i tore it apart and on of the wires ripped off again. so i called him up and he picked it back up. The reason for a 15? i like bass! lol

oh ... and the w3 isnt really a crappy sub... I love mine

it being a w3 wont make any diffrence if you had the gains an/or boost control all the way up.




i like bass two but with the right sub and right box you can get low with just a pair of 10's, either way i cant even see u putting a 12 in the right box to fit behind a seat of a fiero.

exactly so really i dont have a choice of where i put the thing. I might go with a 12" L7 . instead. i guess a 15" is a lil outrageous for a tiny car like mine. Lol Plus i found a site with really good deals on them. I think its 230 dollars for one.

With that out of the way, you don't need a huge sub to get bass. Get a good 10" and a good amp and that'll be fine.

you could probably put a nice pair of 8's in a custom center console.

I didnt blow his sub! the connecter wire from cone to basket came off. it did it before to him about 10 times so no he wasnt mad. I can buy a custom counsel for a 10" but thats not what i want.. Trunk space??? fieros actually have a pretty decent trunk in the back. I could almost fit in it.
