I've had this Prestige alarm installed for a month or so, everything works great.
I disconnected the battery though, and now it no longer locks/unlocks, nor pops the trunk as it did. It just arms/disarms.
I don't think it's related to anything, as I have reprogrammed the transmitters 2 times with no luck.
Is it already time to replace the brain? Which means I might as well ditch this thing.
Thanks!
take it to a shop and see what they say.

My friend had a similar problem. Some features were working and others weren't. He had an Audiovox, I beleive. Anyways, heres what we did to fix it:
- Disconnect alarm power (or in-line fuse).
- Remove brain.
- Let it sit for a while to make sure any capacitors discharge to allow the brain to reset.
- Reconnect brain.
- Reconnect alarm power (or fuse).
- Do whatever you need to do to reprogram your transmitters BEFORE you try doing anything else with them.
Hope it helps.

I'll try that, being that Prestige is made by Audiovox.
Take it to a shop? What kind of pussy advice is that? I do all of my own work, unless outside help is necessary, so I'd rather try and fix it at the same time.
Thanks! Anybody else?
I would just poke my head underthere to verify everything is still Okay...
The alarm could be totally unrelated to the battery being disconnected... One of the harness' might have have came partially unplugged.....?

I'm one to turn my own wrech too, but if its something that I've invested a lot of money in, and don't know enough to be sure about fixing it, i'm not gonna risk f***ing it up any more.

Everything was still good and plugged in, so I removed the brain and here it has sat overnight.
I haven't been in a good state of mind lately and overlooked the stupidest thing, fuses, the alarm has like 6 of them. When I hooked the battery back up it musta had a surge it didn't like.
Thanks, I now feel like a complete idiot, though at least I don't have to worry about replacing this too now.
So it works now?

Yes
. Like I said the battery being hooked back up musta sent a surge it didn't like, the locks/trunk section has it's own fuse, well 3 of them, and it was one of them, hence why the rest still worked. I now have everything under control though!
