Hello all. As it says in my subject, I need the wiring diagram for a 2004 Ecotec. I'm putting some gauges in this weekend, and I wanted to make sure all my wires are hooked up correctly Thanks.
Rob
what guages are you wanting to add???
i have most of the wiring diagrams for a 2003 Ecotec.
I have an oil temp gauge, a voltage gauge, and an air/fuel ratio gauge to put in. The voltage gauge is going to be easy, but we're not 100% sure about the other 2. Thanks.
Rob
A/F ratio gauge- The purple wire from the gauge will hook up to your o2 sensor on your exhaust manifold. If it has one wire, then connect it to that one wire, but wire it before the connector, in case you ever have to change your o2 sensor. Go to
http://www.autometer.com and into the tech section, it has a how-to for hooking up a/f gauges.
more info-
Just tap into the purple wire at the o2 sensor and you are good.
The one after the cat is only there to moniter the cat and make sure it is doimng it's job. To get an accurate A/F reading you need to tap the purple wire on the o2 sensor in the manifold.
On the "ECU Side" means that you tap into it on the other side of the plug, not the side that goes to the sensor, but the side that goes to the ECU. This is so you don't have to retap it everytime you change your O2 sensor.
All of these were sourced from searching for "Ecotec air/ fuel ratio gauge" in the search box and making sure to choose search message bodies also.
Your welcome Rob.
