my cousin is currently fighting in iraq and he does alot of driving and asked me if id send him his headunit out of his sunfire...he drives a regular civilian frieghtliner but it has no factory radio...just a postive and negative wire for a cb....is it possible to put a hu in??

Yeah, as long as there are speakers, just hard wire everything

tell him to hjave fun we have put radios in them before and it wa a ton of fun. Also he's gonna want to amp them to make them loud enough to hear.

yeah it will work just fine, just get him one of those 40 to 60 dollar systems with H/U and a couple speakers and send that, he can sell it to someone else before he leaves. and as a bonus he doesn't have to worry aboot his getting @!#$ up.

ok update...my cousin called me on easter...i couldnt really understand him all to well...he told me he went ahead and bout a hu in iraq and for my to send him a cig lighter adaptor....he claims this is what they all do there...so if i just got to auto zone and pick up an adaptor and send some power and ground wires will this work..
