hey guys sorry for the newbie question but here i go ....i have just recently purchased a pioneer deh 80mp and i now i plan to wire it the harness i purchased at canadian tire...the thing i dont understand is on the wire harness i bought there is an orange and a orange/white wire .....but on my deck all i have is an orange to white harness..the stick on the deck harness says its a ILL and in the pioneer instructions it says Orange/White To lighting switch terminal..so which wire is that please help thanks alot ...oh and one more question i have a a thick black wire coming off my deck should i attach it to the black ground wire that comes with the harness or can i tape the black wire on the harness and just attach the black wire of my deck to a grounded area thanks...

oh yah the wires are the wireharness go as following the orange one say its illumination/dash light and the orange/white says dimmer....

I've never had any luck with that on pioneer and gm. Anyone want to clue me in?

someone please help me just tell me which wire goes to which wire..please some here must have a pioneer deck

I have a pioneer deck. However, I never have had any luck with either of these wires working in my car. I hooked the orange/white up, no change. Hooked up the orange up, nothing. That's all I have to say about that.

On a gm hook up the orange/white to orange/white. to get it to work sometimes you need to turn it on. turn your radio off and hold down the function or audio button and keep pressing it until you get to dimmer and turn it on. the black wire, i would run that straight to ground.
