ok, i currently have these components in my car
HU: Sony CDX M800
6.5 comp: Boston Accoustic RC620
Mid/High Amp: Alpine RF-420?? ill check that when i get home and post the name if im wrong, but its a 4 ch amp bridged into 2 channels for the comp set
6x9: Kicker DX69 run off the hu
Subs: kicker comp vr 12's (2) not in at the moment, fried them, replacing soon
Amp: not using ATM, Kicker KX 600.1 (for the subs)

i know in my burned music cds its just the file source, but from a store bought CD shouldnt it be crystal clear? i still get noise in a cd from the store... is this normal? wut can i do to try and fix it? it DOES NOT increase with RPM, and its not very loud, if i turn the volume up it usually drowns it out, but thats not good because distortion pwns speakers... (i dont blast it to get rid of it, i can hardly hear it at just under 1/2 volume) and when i turn down the volume it gets lower, but when the music is lower its much easier to hear, making it seem like its louder at low volumes...

any help would be appreciated, i can try to get pics of wutever i can if you think it would help, thanks

what kind of noise is it? static? whining?

could possibly be hiss. you said you can turn the volume up but that will start to distort the speakers, now at what level does this occur? for example. if your headunit goes from 1-50 and u never turn it up past say 30 but when u turn it up past 30 is when distortion sets in. wondering if your just hearing hiss and background noise from havning your gain up a bit to high, that would be the first place i started.

i had it installed professionally, so they set my gains

its a hiss / static not really a whine

and im pretty sure the rca's are run down seperate sides... unless that POS body shop messed with them, never thought they would do that... ill check that

start but isolating the problem too...unplug the amps and see if it still occurs from the HU to the 6X9s then plug in the Alpine Amp, then try plugging in the kicker amp this way you can isolate it to one amp or just the H/U

ive heard a few professional systms that have sucked. let me know where your volume hits maximum,, and where the volume is when distortion sets in, it really sounds like a gain issue not a noise issue.
