hey guys.. i just blew one of my 12" eclipse subs so im out to get a whole new setup now (subs & amps) and im looking towards memphis audio.. does anyone how memphis subs and/or how good they sound in our cars? im most likey putting in the trunk (no wall yet
) and well here are 2 im looking into:
memphis m3mojo 12"
or
memphis m3 12"
A freind of mine had the same subs, but they were 15's. They sound pretty good and they make a lot of bass.
my neighbors had a friend over playing with his system one day and it turned out to be memphis subs and amp. subs sounded great although nowhere near as loud as my eD subs. probably due to the amp he had. which he was having trouble with . for some reason as long as the amp was on and both rca's were hooked to it his subs would constantly pop. unhook one and it would stop (didnt matter which one).b
anyways. make your choice depending on what wattage you want to hook up to them.
i'm runnin 1200 rms to mine but the cones get warm during test tones.
i had a memphis amp & Sub (both powerreference series) and hit a 140.x at a db event, i switched out the sub/amp with a sony xplod sub/amp, same enclosure, and hit a 144. so i spent $400 on the memphis stuff, and $100 on the sony stuff from wal-mart
someone is on crack. Memphis is good quality stuff. they have different lines. for the most part there amps are bulletproof. I've heard two m3 15s in a tahoe off of a 1100d and they sounded good and got loud too. My advice to you is to go hear them and make your decision on what your ears like.
eD subs? who are they made buy.i havent heard of them. but thanks for all the inputs; when i go up to vineland to check out the shop i hope i can decide which one i want
I love memphis, I have 3 12" memphis mclass subs in my cavalier, running off of a 1100 watt memphis mclass amp, the subs you are looking at will be real expencive, and you will more then likely have to get a huge amp to push a mojo to its full potential, I am actually looking to get a set of mojo subs and a mojo amp from a local dealer...good stuff
i have a set of 15msync 8's going into my doorpanels and they are facking LOUD!!!! i like em....

i checked out the price for the m3 and its around $275, doe sanyone know what the price is for the mojo 12"?
memphis is good people. They also make everything you need for a complete system pretty much. which is good if your for show or whatever.

Yeah Memphis is great. I have 2 12 M-Classes ported and they are amazing. Memphis is very good quality stuff. Those mojos will pound too.

has anyone that has memphis subs entered in a db competition? what db did most of u guys hit? i think im try to get into some db comps and see what place i take..
theres a shop in vineland and this guy dave can build a setup with what db i want to hit, but i just want to get an idea what u guys have been hitting with memphis subs.

every application will give diffrent results. just because a guy in a cav his a 155 doesnt mean u will with your cav. memephis is a good company and allot of people have won at spl shows with their gear. but install is everything. the name on the basket isnt going to win you awards. the install will.

My buddy has 2 10"s in his stealth, and in my opinion they sound better than most 12"s I've heard.

Um i hit a 143.3 with my mclasses and a memphis 200 x 2 amp. Still haven't gotten to see what i can do with the new 1200 watt amp. Buddy of mine had 1 12 inch Mojo custom ported box with a Directed 1500 watt amp and wow that thing was ridiculous.

Personaly if u blew an eclipes sub what the heck u think gonna happen to a memphis
eclipse makes a sub that holds an actual 2000 watts per voice coil on one sub
memphis mojo can nowhere near take that 2000 watts total heard one in kc trends
car shop and they said if u put the mojo amp on it its maxxed and its a 2000 watt amp
Diamond audio tdx chek them out or get eclipse titauium

I had a wall with 4 memphis pr 15's running just a 500d and a line driver running stock alternator and battery I hit a 152.8 in comp and a 154 in the outlaw comp. My subs have taken a beating and are still in great condition. I have tried to blow my speakers cause i havea 3 year warranty on them and havent been successful yet.
i have the older style eclipse subs that are black with the dust covers, i believe that are like 300 or 350 watts continous..? anywyas i didnt buy them knew; the kid i bought them from used them in competetions so they and he had them for a few years so they were preety beaten when i got them..
yo ort don't know exctly what amp they runnin but my amp is a 1000 watt amp but I'm
gettin 500 actual watts so just cause an amp says that 9x out of ten u half that unless your runnin a 1ohm and to do that all day ain't good for the amp
sara thats there entry level speaker most of their top subs are like sometype of metal
that sub u had is compared to jlw3 and most people lik jl here so that should give u a clue of ther subs they carry
