A rattle or buzz from the right front speaker on a 2000-05 Sunfire or Cavalier may be generated by the door trim panel upper extension covering the exterior mirror mount (commonly known as the shark fin). Before replacing the speaker, verify that the shark fin is not the concern. Apply pressure to the shark fin at the forward lower corner. If the rattle diminishes, repair the concern by removing the trim panel. Add a foam block to the forward lower corner to dampen the low frequency vibrations. Install the trim panel and tighten the screw to 1.3 Nm or 12 lb in.

Nice! Thanks Mr. G. I've been trying to find that buzz for a while now, it's been p!ssing me off. Now I have an idea what to look for.



I may not know much about cars, but I know two things....
1) Breaking things is expensive, and
2) Horsepower isn't cheap.

Same here that buzzing P!!!ss me off too. I'm going to try this tomorrow.
