Hey guys,
Well, my friend wants me to do it. But he doesnt have an aftermarket deck. Its a 2k 2.2l cavy, not monsoon. (pretty sure). Is it possible to wire up RCA outs to go to an amp on a 2k stock deck? Is there a lot of splicing?
Help? diagrams?
Suggestions other then buy a new deck.lol

You'll need a line outputconverter...
Its a small box... it taps off the speaker wires of 2 speakers and gives you female RCA jacks to hook up your patch cables to.
I havn't had the greatest luck with them, bad sound quality etc.. but thats pretty much the only way.

Yeah, your best bet would be an inline converter. if your wanting the rcas for subs, just splice the rear speaker wires and mount the converter on the back deck.
It will have L+, L-, R+, R-, and i believe a ground. Just match the wires up with the speaker wire and on the other end of the converter is your rcas!
Cool. thanks guys!

Everytime ive ran subs off a factory Gm radio the subs play real loud up to about 1/3 or 1/2 volume then kind of crap out at higher volumes and only the mids and highs increase in volume past that.
or you can get a an FM modularor with RCA inputs which basically uses your antanea input

Good quality, and they sell them at wal-mart for around 20 bucks.

Thanks again guys. Just another quick question. One thing about the inline converter. Its just that easy? Hook up the wires from the rear speakers? Does that mean i can still he can still use the rear deck speakers, or are they lost now?
Thanks.

yea u might have to splice i just gave up my back speackers and huk my back ones up to anther amp
When I used the PAC converter, I just spliced into the rear speaker wires. That was in an 03 Civic EX though. Rear speakers still functional.
