Headlight Switch...need names...
Wednesday, September 15, 2004 6:51 PM
Hello...well after my second headlight switch is going I did some searching...I know some of you have had your switch stop working,I took mine apart and it is actually a part melting and possibly catching fire. I called GM made a complaint and the woman said that I should get some people to call her and make a complaint also....reason? Possible RECALL I have her name ,number, and ext. number Im just wondering who else would make a quick call and a complaint.....This has been a problem with our cars for a while and I dont wanna pay 100 canadian again (3rd time) and my parents actually went this week also....and I know alot of people are pissed as I am....so maybe we can get a recall on this....I know its hard to get but if their is a chance of fire then they may do it....Thanks for your help and time....Peace

Did you put higher wattage bulbs in? That usually causes this problem... I know it did on mine. And GM wouldn't cover it (and rightly so, now that I think about it with a rational mind)
