I bought this a few years back and only just now got around to having it installed, but anyone else with this unit, did it come with a case for the faceplate? I still had the unit in it's box, only opened the box when I first bought it, so I don't even remember if I had one or not.
T
he place I had install it said Pioneers haven't come with the case for the faceplate for a few years now, which strikes me as odd... but ok. I'm just wondering if maybe they snatched it or misplaced it and are feeding me a line of bull.
I checked on Pioneer's website and I think it shows that the faceplate case was included in the box, just not 100% sure.
I never got a case with my Pioneer head.
mine came with a case....

Thanks guys.
Installers don't really need more faceplate cases lying around. So they either set it down and forgot it or it didn't come with it. Mine 5000 series pioneers (I had two) didn't come with cases.
Mine was a 3000 series from WalMart though
The 5900IB is good head unit. I'm running one myself. I bought mine used from ebay and it didn't come with a case. I don't know if the guy that sold it to me kept it or what. I had one from my other Pioneer head unit so I just used that. If you can't tell by now... I kinda have a soft spot for Pioneer head units, lol. I think that if you really want to know if a case came in the original package just email Pioneer. I'm sure they would be able to tell you. If it came with one I'd go back to the shop that did the install and knock the guy out with a roundhouse kick to the face.
Don't forget a second kick to the testicles for good measure.
