i was driving home from eating and had the system cranked, then thought to my self i wanna go all out. heres what i came up with 2 12" subs and 4 8" subs. so heres what i wanna do . i wanna build a custom sub box to house 2 of the shallow subs and make the box fit flush with the back par of my rear seat. an amp rack on the trunk 4 2 amps, mount 2 8's in the rear deck and 2 at my rear seat trim. then 2 4' speakers one on each side next to the 8" for the mids and all that. then put 2 4" up fron in my kick panels. unless someone has a diff idea im open for anything

That probably would have horrible imaging and would require a lot of crossing over and phase correction get it to sound right but ill let someone else whos more acoustically inclined chime in.

More is not always better. It took me a lot of friggin playing around to get good imaging.

There's nothing like sitting in a car and being able to pinpoint where every speaker is, or one section sounding louder, or one area having a delay or music playing before the rest of the areas. Imaging.
ohh. so ur saying with more speakers it will or might throw off how it sounds .. less bass , just alot of crappy sound ?

Essentially less is more. Less better placed speakers will be louder and clearer than a lot of poorly placed speakers.
k. what do you think i should do. id like to have more bass . would 2 12's and 2 8's in the rear be good enough. or stick with 2 10's and just relocate my 6x9's or 12's and relocate the 6x9's ? im open for anything

You dont want to mix different sub sizes. It all depends on your budget. You wanting more low bass or mid bass?
a bit of both
