So I know Im not supposed to use the factory ground on the radio harness, but what about the factory power and acc wire? Would I gain anything from upgrading the wires to something like a fused 12 gauge and going straight to the battery or am I not pulling enough amps through the 9886 to matter? I have enough 12 gauge wire laying around from my last project to make the run.
Main power and ground, yes. Accessory, no. It's just an on/off switch, very low amperage.
