I just got a new set of doors and they have power windows. My question is is there anyway to control the windows without a switch, and while they are out of the car. I am going to be painting them and would like to be able to take all the weather striping off before painting.

if you put power to one of the wires and ground to the other one that go to the motor it will either go up or down. theres only 2 wires at the motor so it should be easy to find out which ones. then you could find a way to wire up a switch with that info.
