OUCH! $489!

I had my Stock Alt rebuilt at a local shop for $150, it was built to put out 250amps. Also it was a 1 day turn around, dropped it off in the morning and picked it up later the same day.

how did it do at idle?

DC power is having a 20% off sale right now. And their alts are proven low rpm monsters.

At idle it is not 250 by any means, however I DO NOT just let me car sit and idle. If I am @ a car show I let the music play and let my compressors run, when I am ready to leave I just start the car. I have a 2,000 amp Kinetik Power Cell in the trunk.

Anyway, $489 is TOO much money for an alt. Mine was rebuilt 3 summers ago, no problems from it at all.
